Details:It has been estimated that one out of every three frog species around the world is in danger of becoming extinct. Because of their highly permeable skins frogs are highly sensitive to toxins and environmental pollutants. In addition, over the past 20 years frog populations have been decimated by chytrid fungus which may be compounded by climate change. Dr Greg Czechura from the Queensland Museum has spent many years researching frogs. He is well-placed to share his predictions for the future of frog populations both locally and around the world.
