CSIRO have developed heliostats used in solar energy that have a smaller footprint and use an advanced control system. In an agreement with China, the Australian heliostat technology will be used to help China deliver solar thermal. The technology maximises the amount of power generated and reduces the cost of a Concentrating Solar Thermal (CST) plant.
